Kenneth B. Baker is an accomplished executive and leadership coach with more than 25 years of experience guiding complex organizations through periods of growth, cultural transformation, and workforce development. With a strong foundation in engineering and operational strategy, Ken has built a career at the intersection of energy, technology, and talent optimization.
Ken began his career in the energy and semiconductor industries, applying his technical expertise in electrical engineering and materials science to drive innovation, build high-performing teams, and strengthen organizational capability. His engineering background—rooted in systems thinking, process excellence, and data-driven problem-solving—continues to shape his leadership approach and his passion for empowering diverse talent within mission-critical industries like energy and utilities.
Over the past two decades, Ken has served in senior leadership roles where he has transformed talent acquisition strategies, expanded global operations, and advanced inclusive workplace cultures. He has led organizations through large-scale workforce growth, developed enterprise-wide capability-building programs, and championed equitable hiring and leadership pathways for underrepresented professionals. His career demonstrates a unique ability to bridge technical environments, diverse stakeholder groups, and community-based leadership development.
Ken also brings deep nonprofit leadership experience, including more than 12 years as Board Chair for one of the nation’s leading Workforce Investment Boards, overseeing a $20M annual portfolio focused on economic mobility, skills training, and public–private partnership development. His contributions have been recognized with the San Francisco Business Times leadership profile, the Distinguished Leadership Award for his work impacting minority and women talent pipelines, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Building Diversity in Science.

Ken holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Materials Science from Stanford
